U.S. Apple customers who purchased certain iPhone models between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, may be eligible for compensation under a $250 million class action settlement related to delayed Apple Intelligence features.
Eligibility and Payment Details
Qualifying customers can submit claims for an estimated $25 per device, though payments may range from $25 to $95 depending on the number of valid claims filed. The claim deadline is December 21, 2026. Apple agreed to the settlement without admitting wrongdoing, resolving allegations that customers purchased iPhones believing Apple Intelligence would launch sooner than it did.
The settlement applies only to purchases made in the United States. Customers in other countries, including the UK, Canada, and France, are not covered. Claimants must prove they bought an eligible iPhone during the specified period and were the original purchaser, whether for personal or business use.
How to File a Claim
Eligible individuals should visit the official claims website at SmartphoneAISettlement.com and click “File a Claim” or “Submit Your Claim.” Users without an existing Claim ID and PIN should select the option to file a new claim online.

Personal claimants will need to provide their details, iPhone serial number, preferred payment method (PayPal, Venmo, ACH, or check), and sign a declaration confirming the accuracy of the information. Business claimants must complete a separate form, including business details, payment information, and a signed declaration, along with downloading and submitting a template requiring the iPhone serial number, Apple Account ID, and associated phone number.

Settlement Background
